Nicholas Mark Kowalenko, MD

Dr. Nick Kowalenko is a Vice President IACAPAP and Oceania Coordinator. He is Senior Clinical Lecturer, University of Sydney and Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network in Psychological Medicine. As Chair, Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) Child and Adolescent Psychiatry International Relations Committee, he leads Asia/Pacific mental health initiatives and is also Deputy Chair, RANZCP Pacific Steering Group. He is a Zero to Three International Faculty Member for DC: 0-5 Training, and a member of the Prato International Research Collaborative in Family Mental Health. He is a Senior Clinical Advisor to the Australian National Workforce Centre for Children’s Mental Health (0-12 years), led by Emerging Minds www.emergingminds.com.au and is a member of the Australian National Child Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy Expert Working Group.

 

His publications span his interests in multi-disciplinary mental health workforce development, global mental health, translational research and practice, information development, early intervention, digital innovation for mental health and family focussed preventive interventions.
