Hee Jeong Yoo is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and a professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, Korea. She has devoted herself to researching neurodevelopmental disorders, focusing on evidence-based practice, developing and validating diagnostic instruments, and exploring biological mechanisms related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD). With a great deal of experience and expertise, Dr. Yoo has successfully led projects on the translation, development, and validation of diagnostic and screening instruments. She is currently leading a multi-disciplinary translational research team to elucidate the genetic mechanisms of ASD. She has published more than 110 articles in international peer-reviewed journals in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. Additionally, she has adapted and written numerous treatment manuals for individuals with ASD. She is working as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Korean Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, cited by ESCI, SCOPUS, and Pubmed Central (PMC) since 2021. As a renowned expert in the field, she participated in writing the representative child and adolescent textbooks in South Korea.
