This talk by a consultant paediatric liaison psychiatrist will cover procedural anxiety, depression and other common mental health issues that need to be addressed in a children’s cancer center by mental health professionals. The talk will be of interest to mental health professionals, paediatric staff and teachers. |

Indian Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (IACAM)
The Indian Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, conceptualized in 1988 and registered in 1991, is a non-profitable scientific body comprising of mental health professionals and allied disciplines. Its’ vision is to promote research, training, clinical care, and prevention for infants, children, and adolescents besides dissemination of awareness for positive mental health for better adulthood and future society. The association has now around 900 members from all over the country and holds regular Biennial National conference along with Mid-term CMEs. The association publishes quarterly journal. The capacity building program of IACAM Academy is unique to the association and runs a 10 months certificate course (online) for psychiatrists. Other milestones include webinars to commemorate `World Infant Child & Adolescent Mental health Day’ on 23 April since 2022 and publication of position statement for Smartphone & Screen media use. IACAM in 2023, became one of the founding signatory to South Asia Regional Network for Child & Adolescent Mental Health.
