Hee Jeong Yoo, MD, PhD
Hee Jeong Yoo is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and a professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, Korea. She has devoted herself to researching neurodevelopmental disorders, focusing on evidence-based practice, developing and validating diagnostic instruments, and exploring biological mechanisms related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD). With a great deal of experience and expertise, Dr. Yoo has successfully led projects on the translation, development, and validation of diagnostic and screening instruments. She is currently leading a multi-disciplinary translational research team to elucidate the genetic mechanisms of ASD. She has published more than 110 articles in international peer-reviewed journals in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. Additionally, she has adapted and written numerous treatment manuals for individuals with ASD. She is working as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Korean Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Soa Chongsonyon Chongsin Uihak), cited by Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), SCOPUS, and Pubmed Central (PMC) since 2021. As a renowned expert in the field, she participated in writing the representative child and adolescent textbooks in South Korea.
